Before becoming a wedding photographer, Petar worked as a photographer for 14 years in newspapers. He started as photojournalist in a small daily newspaper, photographing everything from 4th league football matches to reportage and portraits. Eventually he was invited to join a leading regional magazine where he had the pleasure to travel around the world and photograph many celebrities such as Tina Turner, Steve Buscemi, Morgan Freeman and others. Today he uses that broad experience in weddings. He was named one of the 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography 2015 by Rangefinder Magazine. Petar’s picture was selected by Junebug Weddings as one of the Best of The Best Destination photos in 2015. He lives in Zagreb, Croatia with his wife Ziva and their little boy Jan.
Presenting: IT'S ALL ABOUT THIS!
My philosophy is staying true to myself and my vision while working in the wedding industry, in which I never imagined I would be in. In weddings I want to include all the things I love about photography and why I am a photographer in the first place. My main tool is my - photography. I'm terrible in marketing and social media. So how does a guy who sucks in marketing, social media and comes from a tiny country in Eastern Europe make it happen? I will share my path, my beliefs, my approach to storytelling and how to build a destination wedding business. I see the wedding day as a movie with a plot, characters and a story of love that has to be told.
