CODE OF CONDUCT
The Mystic Seminars (“Mystic") community consists of a network of people having a common agenda, cause, and interests, who collaborate by sharing ideas, information, and resources. It is imperative to the community that each person attending one of our conferences or events has a positive and rewarding experience. To that end, we require all sponsors, speakers, attendees, vendors, and others ("Participants") to contribute in creating a safe, respectful, and positive experience for everyone. By participating in an event hosted by Mystic Seminars, Inc. you are contributing to the overall experience, making us all accountable to each other and you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Everyone is welcome and should feel safe and comfortable sharing ideas and engaging in discussions devoid of intimidation or public embarrassment. Mystic Seminars, Inc. believes this Code of Conduct parallels the views of the Participant majority.
Mystic Seminars, Inc. is committed to providing a conference exempt from harassment for all. Mystic Seminars, Inc. maintains the right to enforce this code of conduct and does not tolerate harassment in any form. Participants are expected to uphold this Code of Conduct at all conference venues, conference-related social activities, conference-related online communities and conference-related social media. Immediate compliance is expected when Participants are asked to cease activities considered to be harassing in nature.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments and other offensive behaviors related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, age, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, violence, threats of violence, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Mystic Seminars, Inc. expects Participants to be considerate and engage in respectful interactions. Should a Participant engage in behavior deemed to be harassing, Mystic Seminars. Inc. retains the ability to take action ranging from a request to terminate the behavior(s) in question up to expulsion from the conference and associated events at their discretion. In the case of expulsion, all fees paid to Mystic Seminars, Inc. and any fees to be paid by Mystic Seminars, Inc. for services are surrendered by the non-compliant Participant. For truly egregious behavior, Mystic Seminars, Inc. may opt to temporarily ban or permanently expel a Participant from the community.
Should any Participant have any concerns, experience an incident or witness an incident breaching this code of conduct please let a Mystic organizer know as soon as possible. Mystic organizers can be identified by their badges and will assist with contacting the conference venue security personnel or local law enforcement if needed. Your participation in Mystic is valued and every measure within our capability will be utilized to ensure all Participants are comfortable throughout the conference.
