Do you remember when you first picked up a camera and every time you shot a wedding you’d add dozens of images to your portfolio?  Do you remember when you used to feel that every single wedding you shot was SO MUCH better than the wedding before?  What happens when you start to feel stagnant and have no idea how to take your work to that mythical “next level”?  So many workshops and tutorials are geared toward helping photographers grow and improve without giving any concrete tips or tools to improve your skills.  A true non-lover of the “think outside the box” and “follow your passion” line of teaching, Susan Stripling will honestly help you refine your skills by teaching what she did to improve her own work.  From learning how to better use natural lighting to finally taking that flash off of the camera, from managing clients to improving storytelling through composition, Susan will give you no-nonsense inspiration and practical tools to begin improving your work at your very next wedding.

Raising the Bar for a New Generation

Mexico is a very traditional and conservative country and its photography is not an exception.  We come from a culture that regards wedding photography as the perfect portraiture of two persons posing like statues in front of a camera.  That was it.  It has been less than three years since the four of us met and started looking outside the box and outside our country to push the limits of our way of shooting weddings.  Suddenly, we realized, this constant and constructive challenge among friends is changing the way many people in Mexico are viewing wedding photography.  We are making a difference in our country and we won’t stop.  We are up to the challenge.

.

We (the Wedrockers) will try to inspire other photographers by telling our own story of overcoming adversities and challenges when we started building up our business in cities, or to be more specific, in a country where traditions were totally against us.
